As the Chief Compliance Officer Mrs. Galiano is responsible for the Company’s overall Compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations applicable to the DMEPOS and Home Health Agencies, including regulations enforced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

As an attorney certified in healthcare compliance, Ms. Galiano brings a great level of expertise to our organization.

Before joining CMS, Ms. Galiano served as Compliance Director and Compliance Officer at Abarca Health, LLC, and Pharmacy Insurance Corporation of America, where her experience managing compliance teams and Medicare regulators successfully guided the Company through more than fifty audits and validations.

Ms. Galiano has also served as Regulatory Advisor for Catalyst PRX, LLC (former Catamaran, now OptumRx) on Medicare Part D Compliance and regulatory matters and was part of MCS Advantage, Inc.’s Medicare Part D Compliance and Pharmacy Operations teams.

In addition to her strong background in healthcare compliance, Ms. Galiano has experience in the areas of consumer bankruptcy and protection. She has also litigated civil cases in the local courts as a private practitioner, and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico on a pro bono basis.

Ms. Galiano received her Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2004. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentration in Industrial Management from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, which she received in 2001. Ms. Galiano is admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
